When do we reset the map?

To keep the gameplay fresh and exciting, we schedule a map reset every 6 months. This ensures new opportunities, challenges, and a chance for players to showcase their skills in a new environment.

The next reset (Season 4) will begin at the start of 2025.

Do we have a map available for the karlssonSMP world?

Yes, we do! The karlssonSMP web map allows users to explore our world directly from their web browser. You can access it here: https://map.karlssonsmp.org/

Where can i find the server adress?

If you have been accepted, you will have access to the #accepted channel on the discord server. This channel contains the server adress and some information.

How often is there a server restart?

Server restarts can happen at anytime if we really need to restart the server, however there is a scheduled server restart on every Monday at 8am CET.

Can I destroy bedrock on the nether roof with TNT?

While bedrock destruction using TNT is permitted on our server, we encourage players to do so with caution.

Is duplication of carpet and gravity blocks allowed?

No, duplication of carpet and gravity blocks is strictly prohibited on karlssonSMP. Our server values fairness and integrity, and any form of item duplication undermines these principles. For more information on our servers rules and policies, please refer to our guidelines.

Are chunk loaders allowed?

No, chunk loaders are not allowed as they can cause significant server lag and performance issues, which negatively impact the gameplay experience for everyone. However, in certain cases, we may grant permission for chunk loaders, but only to players who request and receive approval in advance.

How do i get the Content Creator role on Discord?

To get the Content Creator role, you'll have to create a ticket on our Discord server with the Content Creator option and answer the questions.

Is the world seed public?

No, we do not release the world seed to the public for various reasons, one of which is that it would give players an advantage.

I lost my items due to a bug or lag, can I get them back?

No, we do not return lost items unless the loss was caused by a server rollback or a similar server-side issue. In most other cases, we are unable to restore your items.

Is the server down?

You can always check our server status here: https://status.karlssonsmp.org/ Additionally, make sure to check the Discord announcement channel regularly to stay updated on any scheduled maintenance.

Is PvP allowed?

PvP is only allowed if both players have given explicit consent. Engaging in PvP without mutual consent is prohibited.

What difficulty do we play on?

We play on the Hard difficulty setting. Prepare yourself for a challenging survival experience where every decision matters!

Can I build anywhere i want?

You are free to build anywhere on the server, but we ask that you respect other players areas and avoid building in designated zones like the shopping district if you are not making a shop and public spaces such as spawn without consulting the staff team first.

Are mods allowed on the server?

Most mods are allowed on karlssonSMP. However, if you're unsure about whether a specific mod is permitted, please consult with our admins before using it to avoid any misunderstandings.

Do we accept offline accounts?

No, we do not accept offline accounts on our server. We prioritize creating a secure and accountable community by requiring all players to use legitimate Minecraft accounts.

Do we have commands like /spawn or /warp?

As a vanilla server, we do not have any commands such as /spawn, /warp or /tp. We believe in maintaining the purity of the vanilla Minecraft experience, where exploration and navigation are part of the adventure.

How long does it take to receive a response after applying?

After submitting your whitelist application, please be patient and avoid repeatedly asking about the status of your application. Annoying the staff team can result in a denial, regardless of your application. You can generally expect an answer within 24 hours, but often quicker.

How do i get a colored name?

To have a colored name, simply react to a color in the Discord channel #accepted. If you haven't got a colored ingame name within 24 hours, please open a ticket to get in contact with our support team.

What happens if I break any rules?

Breaking a rule you will typically receive a warning, with severity depending on the violation. However, repeated or severe violations may result in a ban from the server. Please read the server rules carefully to ensure a positive gaming experience. For questions, contact admins.

Why am i removed from the whitelist?

If you leave the Discord server or fail to join the Minecraft server within 7 days after being accepted, you will be removed from the whitelist.
